YEW seafood + bar at Four Seasons Vancouver is undergoing a refresh from March 7 to 17 – but don’t worry, Chef Ned Bell and team have moved into the Chartwell private dining room at the hotel for the next couple weeks.

Chartwell was once known as Vancouver’s finest restaurant and was the hotel’s flagship restaurant before YEW opened. These days it’s only used for private fine dining functions… except right now, when it’s open to the public.
The menu remains mostly the same as the YEW regular menu, all the usual favourites are there.
Ned’s famous Ocean Wise lobster tacos with red miso, honey, radish are always a must.
Vegan tacos with avocado, jalapeño dressing, cherry tomatoes are also amazing – look at that guac!
Crispy broccolini with sweet dipping sauce – amazing!!
Brussel sprouts with cheddar! This dish usually comes with bacon but we asked for it without since Athena’s a vegetarian.
And now for something special – beets three ways by Chef Ned (not on the menu) with cheese & black truffles!!
Dining in the historic Chartwell room is a pretty fun experience. The room is named after Chartwell House, the primary residence of Winston Churchill. The room reflects that old-world feel with a warm classic vibe created by fireplaces, wood paneling and colourful paintings. You should go experience this part of Vancouver restaurant history while you can. Reservations remain the same as for YEW.
