I find myself a Ichiro almost every time I’m in Steveston, so I decided instead of having the same thing I always have (chirashi!!!) I’d order a few items off their regular menu.
I ordered the Ichiro Zuke, which was sockeye salmon, mackerel & albacore tuna sashimi in a soy ginger sauce. Very fresh and flavourful.
I also had the jellyfish salad – grated daikon radish with ume flavored jellyfish, mixed greens and seaweed. Jellyfish really is the “tofu of the sea” – it takes on the flavour of whatever you marinate it in, it was delicious with the ume.
