While I was at Eat! Vancouver last weekend I entered Pinnacle Hotel’s contest to win a meal at p2b bistro & bar – and I won! They treated me plus three to brunch today. They were doing a special Mother’s Day brunch, but unfortunately both my mother and Dean’s mother live out of town. It’s Amber’s birthday weekend so I took her and Athena along with Dean and I.
Their brunch is served buffet style, there were many options including an omelette bar, pancake station, waffles, prime rib carving station, various sausages, bacon, halibut, eggs benny, charcuterie, salads, fresh fruit, pastries, smoked salmon, bagels, local cheeses, and a million different desserts!
I love that they use cage free eggs at their omelette station.
I wanted to try everything, but I was good and stuck to three plates – ha ha ha. For my first plate I had an omelette with cheese, ham, green onion, red pepper and asparagus, along with kale salad, watermelon feta salad, and tomatoes. The omelette was cooked perfectly! I really enjoyed the salads as well, the watermelon feta salad was amazing.
For my second plate I had chicken sausage, bacon, charcuterie, smoked salmon, halibut, fruit and local cheeses. Such a great assortment of flavours, and excellent quality ingredients.
I was full after all that but I still had dessert – too good to pass up!! Mini crème brûlée, chocolate covered strawberry, chocolate mousse, macarons, and mini cheesecake bites.
After brunch we were each given a gerbra daisy to take home, a very nice touch. It was a lovely experience, thank you so much Pinnacle Hotels for hosting us.
