Things are coming along quite nicely in my raised vegetable garden beds.
This bed has short season cool weather veggies including lettuce, peas, spinach, parsley mustards, arugula, radishes. Tomatoes and squash will go here later in the season once these crops are done.
Lettuce and parsley – salad time!
This bed has a mix of short and longer season crops including potatoes, peas, onions, kale, broccoli. Chard will be planted here once the soil is warmer.
Potatoes! Three varieties, Yukon Gold, a heirloom purple variety from Dean’s family’s farm, and a tiny nugget potato my mom gave me which she got from her neighbour in Nakusp.
Purple sprouting broccoli, can’t wait for this.
In other parts of my yard I’m patiently waiting for my meyer lemons to ripen!! There are only four lemons on the tree this year so they are precious.
Strawberries are blooming!
And today I started tomato and pepper seeds which are now under my grow lights.
