This is the “Banzai” from “The Pacific” section of the Oceans Cocktails menu. It has vanilla bean infused white rum, lime, hibiscus, & Shanghai rhubarb bitters.
I can never manage to go to YEW without having either the crab or lobster tacos, this time it was the crab which is done with red miso, maple, lime, avocado and apples:
We couldn’t get enough crab so we also ordered the dungeness crab salad which comes with red romaine, pear, spiced pecans, crisp prosciutto and a buttermilk dressing:
We were also lucky enough to get to sample Chef Ned Bell‘s new lobster nachos, which will be on the menu starting next month. They were DELICIOUS and you need to try them!
For my main dish I had another one of my favourites, the sablefish with fennel, orange, asparagus, green olive gremolata and orange emulsion.
My friends and I were stuffed after all this food, but shared the carrot cake with cream cheese ice cream anyway (glad we did!)
