Dean and I finally made our way to The Fat Badger for dinner. We’ve been drooling over their menu and instagram photos for a while now. We got there around 7 p.m. and really wanted to try their Sunday roast pork, but they’d already sold out. So sad. Oh well, what we had was all delicious and we’re sure to go back on a Sunday, earlier next time.
We started off with the twice baked cheddar soufflé with creamed chard, pine mushrooms, pear and radish salad:
And the black pudding and pine mushrooms on toast, poached egg, mustard sauce and watercress:
For our main dish we shared the red wine braised beef stiletto, mash, roast shallots, Stilton and port butter:
For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream:
Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned and generous portions.
